Animals are always doing some sort of odd behavior, especially our own domestic pets. I find this fascinating and am always asking why, what compulses them to do that, or what makes them do this!  After doing some research on a particular behaviour I stumbled upon a few extremely odd even truly freaky behaviours and here they are.

Grazing cows tend to face the North and South Poles! Forget cow tipping—next time you want to mess with a bovine friend, try waving a magnet in its face.

Parthenogenesis or “virgin birth”
is a form of asexual reproduction found in females, where growth and development of embryos occurs without fertilization by a male. Parthenogenesis occurs naturally in some invertebrate animal species (e.g. water fleas, aphids, nematodes, some bees, some Phasmida, some scorpion species, and parasitic wasps) and some vertebrates (e.g. some reptiles, fish, very rarely birds and sharks). This type of reproduction has been induced artificially in other species.

Gastric brooding frogs although  extinct this species may the first cloned/recreated species that is reintroduced to its natural habitat. These cute little frogs will swallow their eggs then incubate them in their stomach!

Horned lizard squirting blood emanates from ducts in the corners of their eyes and can travel a distance of up to three feet (one meter). It’s meant to confuse would-be predators, but also contains a chemical that is noxious to dogs, wolves, and coyotes.
