October is #FarleyMonth!
Lasalle Animal Clinic is excited to inform everyone that we are currently accepting donations (of any amount) to fundraise for The Farley Foundation! For anyone who has not heard of Farley before, here is a brief overview of this foundation:
1. The Farley Foundation was established in 2002 by the
Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.
2. The Farley Foundation helps low-income pet owners in
Ontario by subsidizing the cost of non-elective veterinary care for their sick
or injured pets.
3. Since its establishment, the Farley Foundation has disbursed
more than $6 million to help almost 14,000 pets in need.
4. The foundation pays tribute to Farley, the beloved
English sheepdog who appeared in Lynn Johnston’s syndicated comic strip For
Better or For Worse®.
5. The human-animal bond has a profound impact on human
health and well-being. This is especially true for people facing hardship and
rely heavily on their pets for companionship. The Farley Foundation helps preserve
this bond and keep people and pets together.

Some of our clients may already be familiar with Farley as funds
from our microchipping fees are donated to this foundation all year round.
This year, we are happy to announce a prize draw available
to those who are interested in entering. A 10$ donation enters your name once,
a 15$ donation enters your name twice! The winner of this draw will receive a
Keurig coffee machine and two boxes of Keurig coffee pods. Any donation is appreciated,
and you do not need to enter the draw if you are not interested in doing so!
